The role of the Junior Engineer will involve the developing and building of your technical knowledge and understanding. Ideally you will have a solid understanding of basic PLC programming. The Junior Engineer will also have the ability to communicate with end-users to identify, explain, and resolve problems, along with the ability to take directions to ensure great service delivery. The work environment requires an individual who is capable of multitasking while maintaining exceptional quality. The Junior Engineer must have the basic knowledge of AC/DC Drives, and/or MMI systems. Also, the skills to use applied mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics principals, automation, and controls. You must be able to write documentation concisely and use MS office suite. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, with a hands-on approach, and a team-player who enjoys learning new skills.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Being fully involved with Energy Storage Systems projects, willingness to learn new skills.
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • I/O checks.
  • Assists with the installation and commissioning of subsystems.
  • Support Engineering Team as needed.
  • Assist the design, development, and engineering staff, as well as work closely with others to install/commission, maintain, modify, and repair network systems, mechatronic systems, equipment, and component parts.
  • Assists with wire checks, hipot and functional test of the above systems.
  • Documents job activities through written reports.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Engineer regarding project production efforts.
  • Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
  • Participate with the investigation of customer complaints to help determine nature and extent of problem and recommend remedial measures.
